Course Description
The Qualification
The Level 3 Award in Caring for Children in a Home Environment (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual. After 1 December 2020, any new registrations will be made against a qualification that is not regulated by Qualifications Wales. The Qualifications Wales logo will appear on any certificates for learners registered prior to this date, where applicable.
Qualification Purpose
This qualification’s purpose is for learners to be able to understand how to care for a child in the home environment.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.
Progression
Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as:
● Level 3 Award in Child Learning Development
● Level 3 Award in Playwork for Early Years and Childcare
Structure
Learners must achieve all mandatory units plus 1 optional unit
